Job Description

Organization Overview The Cumberland County Dispute Resolution Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the community, empowering youth, and strengthening families through restorative justice, mediation, education, and other outreach programs. Our organization is seeking a dependable, organized, and adaptable individual to support our Teen Court program while also assisting with other organizational programs and general office duties as needed. Position Summary The Teen Court Program Assistant provides administrative, operational, and program support primarily for the Teen Court program. This role works closely with staff, volunteers, youth participants, families, schools, community partners, and court personnel to help ensure smooth program operations. In addition to Teen Court responsibilities, the position supports other organizational programs, events, and office functions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with youth, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable balancing program support with administrative duties. Key Responsibilities -Teen Court Support Assist with Teen Court intake meetings, hearings, seminars, and trainings Maintain participant files, records, and program documentation Communicate with youth participants, parents/guardians, volunteers, and referral agencies Prepare hearing materials, attendance sheets, and case packets Help coordinate Teen Court volunteers, seminar curriculums, and community service opportunities Track participant progress and assist with data entry and reporting Provide support during Teen Court sessions and special events Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information -Program & Administrative Support Assist staff with additional organizational programs as needed Enter and maintain data in program databases and spreadsheets Attend trainings and obtain certifications when offered Support event planning, outreach activities, and volunteer coordination Answer phones, greet visitors, and respond to general inquiries Assist with filing, copying, scanning, and maintaining office organization Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; experience or coursework in criminal justice, social work, education, or related field preferred Experience working with youth, volunteers, or community programs preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a multifaceted environment Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused Comfortable interacting with diverse populations Bilingual skills are a plus A clear background check will be required Work Environment Combination of office and program/event settings Some evening hours will be required for Teen Court hearings and seminars Occasional weekend hours may be required for community events May require occasional lifting of program materials up to 25 pounds
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
