  • is currently seeking a Federal Work Study Student to serve as an Environmental Education Assistant.
Job duties include: Understanding and executing lesson plans for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Leading elementary-aged students in outdoor excursions such as hiking, kayaking and exploring nature. maintaining a safe and fun learning environment. Cleaning and organizing the visitor's center and Planetarium. Using kind and effective classroom management strategies. Welcoming guests and guardians at the front desk. Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) Experience working with children is preferred. Ability to tolerate the heat, humidity, bugs that come with ENC summers is required. Transportation to Grifton may be necessary.
