Support students in literacy, math, hands-on learning, and character development. Help maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment. Encourage Christ-like behavior and model Christian character for students. Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning concepts. Assist with preparing classroom materials, organizing supplies, and setting up learning activities. Monitor students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other school activities to ensure safety and engagement. Support students' social, emotional, and spiritual development through positive interactions and encouragement. Communicate effectively with the lead teacher regarding student progress, needs, and concerns. Assist with classroom organization and daily routines. Qualifications A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with Christian values. Ability to affirm and support the school's Statement of Faith and mission. Experience working with young children in a school, preschool, daycare, church, or childcare setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, organized, and able to work collaboratively with others. Ability to support students with diverse learning needs. A genuine love for children and a passion for helping them learn and grow. Physical Requirements Ability to actively engage with young children throughout the school day, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting classroom materials as needed. Ability to move between classrooms and school spaces located throughout a three-story building. Must be able to safely and comfortably navigate stairs multiple times throughout the day, as the building does not have elevator access. Ability to supervise students indoors and outdoors and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
