DCA offers full-time early childhood education and care for 1-year-olds through Pre-Kindergarten 4 year old students. Dominion Christian Academy is looking for passionate and dedicated teachers who are highly motivated to work alongside peers to provide quality early childhood education. Our mission is to provide quality and engaging early childhood education through our safe and nurturing Christian environment. We currently have one opening for an Assistant Teacher in our Pre-K classrooms.
Responsibilities Include:
Work to create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans Build relationships with children, families and faculty Establish strong classroom management through positive discipline and relationships Maintain strong parent-teacher communication through our Daily Communication Tool Keep records of the students' progress, routines, and interests; inform parents about their child's development Adhere to all NC state licensing and DCA rules and regulations Create a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for children to grow
Qualifications:
Early Childhood Credentials At least a years experience in Early Childhood Education A current criminal background check (from the Division of Child Development and Early Education) is required, along with a negative TB test and current medical report is useful but can be acquired after employment offer. The position is a full-time Monday-Friday position.
