ASSISTANT TEACHER

• PRESCHOOL The preschool assistant teacher is a vital member of the preschool classroom community.

Working together with the lead teacher, the assistant teacher is responsible for supporting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of the children in the class. As a member of the school community, the assistant teacher will be supportive of the lead teacher, fellow faculty members, parents, school administration, members of the Board of Trustees, and the mission of The Raleigh School. Job Requirements The preschool assistant teacher must have a high school degree or GED, as well as the necessary college credits and experience in early childhood education necessary to meet the current NAEYC accreditation standard. Preference will be given to applicants with a college degree, early childhood education or child development background, and/or experience in a preschool classroom.
