TECHNICIANS ONLY.

Duties Help As an Family Program Assistant, GS-0303-07 , you will serve as an assistant in accomplishing all objectives of the Family Program; support staff assistance s to ensure th policies conform with guidance to staff and units; assist in designing and conducting needs assessments of family members to identify program requirements; identify issues affecting the quality of family life and provides recommendions to supervisor of activities and policies requiring modificion; identify family issues affecting recruiting, retention, and readiness; prepare informion papers and other documents concerning these issues; recommend necessary changes as needed on new initiives and implemention of program to address those issues; coordine and facilite communicion between family members and the Nional Guard; prepare informion for entitlements, schedules of events, missions, roles, and functions of the Nional Guard; interface with units and family members and ghers informion concerning family activities; compile informion, publishes, and dissemines Family Program newsletters; develop and maintain a library of resource documents to include community, ste, and Federal government agencies and organizions, which are available for referrals to family members; assist units in developing and maintaining local informion, referral and follow-up programs; provide technical assistance to personnel publicizing Family Program and quality of life issues; conduct briefings and training for staff and units to provide necessary informion and to stimule interest and support; coordine the volunteer service component to include formal training and recruiting of volunteers; support volunteers to work with the Family Readiness Groups (FRGs), and to instruct and train units, soldiers, and their families; provide technical assistance and informion to develop local unit FRG; identify key volunteers and develops and conducts oriention and training programs for these volunteer; maintain a system of documenting volunteer services and a library of resource merials concerning volunteerism and provides merials to volunteers as needed; conduct workshops and seminars as approprie; identify key volunteers to serve as Family Program volunteer council members, coordines activities, and communicions of the council; assist in planning and coordining resources for family assistance mobilizion; assist in the preparion of budget requirements to support the Family Program; initie Invitional Travel Orders (ITOs) for volunteers, when necessary; assist with the ste family youth program, which addresses issues and concerns of youth reled to Guard life and youth readiness and well being; collect and organize volunteer, family and other reled da; perform other duties as assigned. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Minimum Requirements:
Administrive or clerical experience, educion, or training which demonstres the candide's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automion systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: Must have least 12 months experience in the interpretion and applicion of regulions, procedures or laws. Experience th provided a working knowledge of administrive functions. Experience demonstring the ability to advise lower graded employees. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.
