Paraprofessional/ Residential Counselor 2106 Newell Street, Ramseur, NC 27316 $11 - $15 an hour $11 - $15 an hour Join Our Team as a Paraprofessional/Residential Counselor at A Better Path, Inc! Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? At A Better Path, Inc., located in Ramseur, NC, we are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for the residents in our girls' facility. We are looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Paraprofessional/Residential Counselors. If you're ready to embark on a meaningful career with no prior experience required, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! What You'll Do As a Residential Counselor, you'll play a key role in creating a nurturing and empowering environment for our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervision and Safety :
Monitor residents' daily activities, ensure adherence to facility rules, and maintain a secure and welcoming environment.
Individual and Group Support :
Facilitate skill-building activities, lead group sessions, and assist residents in developing coping strategies and life skills.
Daily Living Assistance :
Provide support with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration (if certified), and other daily living activities.
Documentation and Reporting :
Keep accurate records of resident progress, incidents, and care plans to ensure quality care.
Activity Planning and Engagement :
Organize recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities to promote social and emotional growth.
Collaboration :
Work closely with other staff, supervisors, and families to implement individualized care plans and provide consistent support.
