Full Time Assistant Teacher Coddington Learning Center - 3.8 Lincoln, NE Job Details Full-time 20 hours ago Qualifications Parent collaboration High school diploma or GED Parent communication in school administration Full Job Description We are looking for a full time Assistant teacher to work with infants and toddlers. The age range in the infant rooms is 6 weeks to 18 months. The age range in the toddler room is 18 months to 3 years old. We are looking for a teacher who has great love and patience for children, is reliable and committed to the growth and well-being of children. The goal is to contribute to the child's healthy mental and emotional development to acclimate more easily to the next level of education. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday 8:15 A.M until 5:15 P.M. with a one-hour lunch break.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent 1500 clock hours in a group setting or willingness to take a 45-clock hour online training Experience in Child Care preferred Ability to take initiative to continually improve service Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to sit on the floor to engage in activities with the children Commitment to building relationships with children and families Must pass background checks required by Nebraska Childcare Licensing Coddington Learning Center will pay for the required trainings to meet these requirements. The Director will aid in scheduling any trainings needed to be in compliance with State Licensing Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Supporting the Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum and activities for the children Assisting in creating a safe and stimulating environment for infants Engaging with children through play, music, story time and sensory play Providing individualized care and attention to each child Taking 24 clock hours of approved in-service annually Diapering and bottle/spoon feeding children Provide opportunities for children to develop positive self-images and experience success Foster positive relationships with all children in the classroom Ensure that all children are under appropriate supervision and guidance at all times In the absence of the Lead Teacher, take responsibility for the management of the classroom Develop effective relationships with parents through regular communication Helping the Lead Teacher maintain a clean classroom and eating area E04JI800ta7p4097kxr
