Evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the district's Personnel Evaluation Policy
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
6 hours/day; nine months a year
JOB GOAL
To assist the teacher in providing education and instruction to students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Consistent and punctual "on site" attendance at the worksite is an essential job function Performs clerical duties such as attendance reports, typing, filing, and handling routine interruptions such as notes, messages and deliveries Performs supervisory duties, such as lunchroom, playground, halls and classroom Types, draws, writes and duplicates instructional materials Prepares bulletin boards, graphs and charts Assembles materials as directed Checks papers, workbooks, homework and tests as directed Helps in the care and cleanliness of the room Reads to students, listens to students read Helps students with make-up work Assists in individual or group activities: games, flash cards, etc. Practices skill drills to reinforce concepts and learning targets Alerts teacher to needs of students Assists teacher in checking progress of individualized study projects Assists with inventory of supplies and equipment Assists with field trips Makes educational games and aids Assists when emergencies arise Performs any other delegated non-instructional responsibility assigned by teacher or administrator Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Assists in supporting an orderly and productive learning environment Follows and supports district protocols and procedures Other duties as assigned
