Bedford, NH Job Details Full-time $20 - $28 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Classroom experience Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and contribute to a positive learning environment for young children. This role involves working closely with students, assisting with daily activities, and fostering a safe and engaging educational setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. A background in childhood development, childcare, or special education is highly desirable. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to different age groups Support children during classroom activities, playtime, and mealtime to promote social and emotional development Help supervise children to ensure safety and proper behavior management throughout the day Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play Assist with diapering, feeding, and other childcare responsibilities for preschool age children Engage in caregiving tasks such as nurturing, comforting, and encouraging positive interactions among children Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor progress and address individual student needs Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and implement behavior management strategies First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire Strong communication skills for working with children, parents, and staff Compassionate caregiver with patience and adaptability Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus Familiarity with classroom management techniques and childcare best practices Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a nurturing attitude toward children
