Job Description
Candidates should be able to work as part of a team, have a strong work ethic, be enthusiastic and possess the ability to promote the development of children. Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position: Facilitates participation of all assigned students in classroom activities.
Facilitates peer integrationImplements IEP goals and objectives in an integrated settingGathers and records data on IEP goalsCarries out health, behavior, and safety protocolsCommunicates with the teachers, special education teacher, administration, and related service providers about student progress and observationsMaintains confidentiality when it comes to student informationServes as a resource person to the special education teamMaintains positive relationships with all school staff, students, and parentsRefers all parent concerns to classroom teachers and/or special education teacherSupports and implements discipline philosophy of school.
Follows District policies, procedures, goals, and approved curriculum for content areas. Follows all federal, state, and school district policies, laws, and procedures that pertain to public education.
Ability to carry out duties with minimum of supervision.
Ability to work with a wide diversity of individuals.
Able to work independently and problem solve. Is flexible Ability to work as part of a team.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
