Job Expectations Position Purpose:
Support students academically, socially, behaviorally, and physically under the direction of teachers and school staff while helping maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist students individually and in small groups with classroom activities and instruction. Support student learning, behavior, social skills, and independence. Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior plans as directed. Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, field trips, and special events. Assist teachers with classroom organization, materials, and daily routines. Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administration to support student success. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to support students with a variety of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Reliable, flexible, and committed to helping students succeed.
