Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Educational Assistant to join our middle school team. In this role, you will work closely with students, classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff to provide a positive and productive learning environment for students in grades 6-8. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who is passionate about student success and eager to make a meaningful difference in young people's lives. Responsibilities Support students in small group work, and one-on-one support Monitor and encourage student engagement, behavior, and progress throughout the day Communicate effectively with teachers and school administration regarding student needs Utilize technology tools and educational software to support classroom and administrative tasks Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and other non-instructional periods as assigned Maintain accurate records and documentation in support of student services and accommodations Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree Preferred Experience working with children or adolescents Preferred Skills & Attributes Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective organizational and time management abilities Collaborative team-oriented mindset Proficiency with technology Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with middle school-aged students
