Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives by supporting educators and learners as a school paraprofessional. This contract position offers you an opportunity to contribute to a vibrant educational setting near Derry, NH, working closely with teachers and other support staff to cultivate a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school support role preferred Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or training a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with diverse learning needs Help maintain an organized and engaging classroom atmosphere Supervise students during non-classroom times such as lunch, recess, or transitions Support students in developing academic, social, and behavioral skills Document and report student progress to teachers and administrative staff as needed Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
