Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a difference in the classroom by providing dedicated, individualized support to a student as they finish out the school year in a welcoming educational environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for caring paraprofessionals who thrive in 1:1 roles and are passionate about helping each child succeed. You'll work closely with school staff and administration, adapting quickly as specific details around the student's needs and your schedule are finalized. This position is designed for professionals who are flexible, reliable, and committed to fostering a supportive and productive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, classroom aide, or in a related behavior-based support role Flexibility to adapt as the student's exact needs and daily responsibilities are clarified Ability to build a positive rapport with students and work collaboratively with school staff Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism within a school setting Strong communication skills, both verbal and written High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in behavior intervention a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a designated student throughout the school day Assist with academic assignments, behavioral guidance, and other individualized services Help the student follow classroom routines and participate fully in learning activities Track student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and staff Follow all school and district protocols to maintain a safe and respectful environment This is an excellent temporary contract position for someone seeking hands-on experience in education and the rewarding opportunity to make a real, positive impact.
