Full-time Full-time Job Overview:

Hanover Street School is seeking two (2) full time Special Education Paraeducators with the ability to build relationships with students and to work as a collaborative member of a professional learning multi-disciplinary team, and performing other duties as outlined in the LSS Professional Agreement. These vacancies are for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. The regular work schedule is 7 hours a day, Monday-Friday with a 30-minute duty-free lunch. Paraeducators perform a duty (morning or afternoon) and cover recess for the classroom. Paraeducator I & II Certification preferred, but not required.

General Job Goals:

To assist the staff/related service providers in achieving instructional objectives. To facilitate the participation of all students in the general curriculum and to develop their abilities to function independently. To assist collaborating teacher(s) in facilitating the personal, social, and intellectual growth of student(s). Participation in professional learning opportunities. Flexibility in working in a variety of school settings and possible travel to alternative locations as necessary.

Pay:

Based on LSS Collective Bargaining Agreement salary schedule.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have good physical agility which requires the following-bending, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, standing for long periods of time, lift up to 20 pounds, good dexterity, ability to reach, depth perception, color/peripheral/close vision ability to adjust focus.
