Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a vibrant school environment as a Paraprofessional on a contract basis. This role offers the chance to work alongside dedicated educators, providing valuable assistance both in and out of the classroom while making a real difference in the lives of children every day.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience working as a Paraprofessional or teacher's aide in a school setting is preferred. Ability to engage with students of varying ages and developmental levels, fostering a supportive atmosphere. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers and staff. Adaptable approach to meeting individual student needs, including those with learning differences or behavioral challenges. Patience, reliability, and a true passion for helping students thrive.
Responsibilities:
Support teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities. Offer one-on-one or small group assistance to students requiring extra help. Help maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment that promotes learning. Assist with the supervision of students during transitions, lunch, and recess periods. Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions as required. Aid in documenting student progress and communicating important information to educators.
