Paraprofessionals at Whitefield Elementary School Spring 2026 and 2026-2027 school year

Assist the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on the understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities. 2. Help students with equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teacher. 3. Assist with the supervision of students in and out of the classroom. 4. Alert the respective classroom teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student. 5. Maintain regular communication with teacher(s). 6. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students. 7. Participate in in-service training programs, as required/requested. 8. Provide instruction to small groups or individual students. 9. To become familiar with the required modifications and goals written into the IEPs/504s, if applicable. 10. Provide academic support for all students or with the focus on special education and/or 504 students as assigned. 11. Guided by the respective teacher and/or the IEP/504, provide appropriate accommodations to materials. 12. Assist in the administration of assessments, including accommodations. 13. Collect anecdotal student information on a regular basis. 14. Act as a nurturing and encouraging influence for students. 15. Perform other duties that are characteristic of the responsibilities of paraprofessionals. These may be delegated by the building administrator or teacher.
