Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students with special needs in a dynamic educational environment. A contract position is available for a dedicated paraprofessional or PCA to provide one-on-one assistance to a student in a life skills program. Individuals with LNA or CNA credentials are encouraged to apply, as the district values diverse experience in both academic and personal care support.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a paraprofessional, teacher's assistant, PCA, LNA, or CNA in school or similar settings Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about working with students requiring individualized support Familiarity with or willingness to follow toileting plans and to assist with physical positioning Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators and therapists Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct in educational environments
Role Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one academic and personal assistance to a student enrolled in a life skills program Support classroom activities, adapting tasks to meet the student's developmental needs Assist with implementing toileting plans and ensuring the student's physical well-being, including regular positioning Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports the student's social and emotional growth Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and other paraprofessionals to ensure consistency in student care This contract role offers consistent weekday hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:50 a.m. to 3:22 p.m., beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 2026.
