Hourly Apply Description Qualifications:

High School Diploma; Experience with students with disabilities and/or medical challenges Speak, read and write

English Work Hours:

8:30•3:00 Monday•Friday or as assigned

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and able to assist in a two-person lift of a child and/or adult. Must be able to do frequent bending, kneeling and sitting. Must be able to stand for multiple hours at a time.

Overall Description:

Assist the Classroom Teacher and other School Certified staff in the development and implementation of an individualized plan, designed to meet the cognitive, physical, social and personal needs of assigned student.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and safeguard each family/student's right to privacy, respect and confidentiality. Provide continuous supervision to all assigned students at all times. Be a participating member of the Direct Service Team. Assist Classroom Teacher as directed with the evaluation, development and implementation of the individualized plan for assigned student. Implement therapeutic feeding, positioning, splinting and augmentative communication programs under the supervision of the classroom teacher or school certified therapists. Assist Classroom Teacher as directed in maintaining accurate records for assigned student. Attend and participate in appropriate conferences and workshops as approved. Assist assigned student in performing self-care activities.
