Assistant Teacher

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate assistant teacher to join our educational team. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student growth and development. The ideal candidate will have experience with classroom management and working with students of various ages. A commitment to child welfare and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues is crucial. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans. Help maintain a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment. Assist with classroom management and daily routines. Build trusting, supportive relationships with children and parents. Provide individual attention to children who need extra support. Collaborate with the teaching team to enhance learning strategies and activities. Monitor children's progress and communicate observations to lead teachers and parents. Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development. Requirements Experience working with young children in a daycare or early education setting. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with kids. Basic knowledge of early childhood education principles; Montessori experience is a plus but not required. Commitment to child welfare and fostering a supportive learning environment. High school diploma or equivalent; ECE coursework or CDA credential preferred. Relevant educational qualifications in teaching and/or field related to child development.
