Daycare Aide -
Floater Teacher & Kitchen Support Employment Type:
Part-Time/Full Time Hours- 1pm-7pm
Pay Rate :
$16.25 •Must be 18+
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and caring Daycare Aide to serve as a floater teacher and provide assistance in the kitchen. This individual will support multiple classrooms based on daily needs and help ensure the smooth operation of meal preparation and clean-up. This is a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
Floater Teacher Duties:
Assist lead and assistant teachers in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as needed. Help implement daily routines and activities that support children's development. Supervise and engage with children during free play, meals, and outdoor activities. Support classroom transitions and maintain child-to-teacher ratios. Help with diapering, toileting, and general hygiene based on classroom assignments. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Kitchen Help Duties:
Assist in preparing and serving snacks and meals according to daily menus. Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, dishes, and utensils after meals. Assist with meal counts and dietary needs tracking, if required. Support delivery of food to classrooms and assist with mealtime supervision.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience in childcare and/or food service preferred. Ability to work with children of various age groups. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene. Flexibility and willingness to float between roles. Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Food Handler's Permit (may be required based on local/state regulations).
