You'll play a crucial role in maintaining classroom quality and consistency—making a difference everywhere you go. The Opportunity As a Floater Teacher Assistant , you'll provide essential support across all classrooms, from infants to preschoolers. Your adaptability and positive attitude will help ensure smooth operations, consistent care, and joyful learning every day. We are looking for floaters available to work from 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM and part-time 1:00PM - 6:30PM. Key Responsibilities Provide classroom coverage to maintain NJ DCF staff-to-child ratios . Assist teachers with lesson activities, routines, and transitions throughout the day. Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning, and social interactions. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in every classroom. Collaborate with staff to support curriculum goals and daily routines. Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and flexibility across all age groups. What You Bring Minimum Qualifications (Required under NJ DCF Chapter 52) High school diploma or GED required. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred (or willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire). Minimum 2 years of experience working in a licensed childcare center. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and actively engage with children at their level. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting multiple age groups (Infant, Toddler, Preschool). Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills. Familiarity with Grow NJ Kids quality standards. Hourly Pay:
Ranges at $17.00- $18.50 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications).

Employment Classification:
Non-exempt, full-time or part-time hourly position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and NJ Wage & Hour Law .
