Helps to manage children so that the teacher and assistant work as a team.

IE:

assemble crafts, plan special activities, encourage children's independence while assisting with dressing for outdoor play & dismissal. Help the children with regular bathroom time, as well as any other unexpected bathroom incidents. Replenish supplies and keep the classroom clean and organized.

Education Minimum required:

High school diploma.

Preferred:

Post high-school education in early childhood development or similar field.

Experience Minimum preferred:

Previous experience working with young children for one year or similar experience in Pre-K, Nursery classroom setting or Child Care. Special Skills Sincerely enjoy and value children and their education. Be proactive in always supporting the teacher and children in circle time, with worksheets, journals, projects and snacks. Belief in a Christian-based education and supportive of the school's mission. Physical Requirements Working with preschool aged children requires stamina and close physical contact. Candidates need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds, run and sit on the floor. Candidates must be willing and able to participate in outdoor and indoor activities; be in excellent health and able to perform all duties that come with the job.
