Assistant Teacher/Floater

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our dynamic early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers, assist with daily activities, and ensure a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging educational activities aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks. Support classroom management by helping maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive environment for all students. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in literacy, math, and other foundational skills to support individual student needs. Work with children with diverse abilities, including those with autism or special needs, to promote their social and academic growth. Help with daily childcare routines such as diapering, feeding, and supervising outdoor play to ensure children's well-being. Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress, proofread educational materials, and prepare classroom resources. Mentor students through positive behavior management techniques and foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages curiosity and independence. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs, including autism spectrum disorder. Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management strategies. Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, and team members. Ability to multitask across different classrooms as a floater while maintaining consistency in teaching quality. Skilled in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation. Experience with Montessori or private school settings is a plus.
