Job Description

Horizon Staffing Resources is currently staffing a special needs school setting with FORTY (40) openings, and we want YOU to join our team of dedicated paraprofessionals! Paraprofessionals will work in the classroom setting on a 1:1 basis supporting students of special needs. Student support encompasses academic, behavioral, emotional, and physical support based on specific needs of each individual student. The ideal paraprofessional candidates must be comfortable in a multi-disability setting.
The Schedule:
Monday through Friday - NO
WEEKENDS!
8:45am to 2:30pm - NO
EVENINGS OR NIGHTS!
$26 per hour
What You'll Do:
Special Education:
work with students of varying disabilities, providing support as indicated in student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and/or
Behavioral Plans Student Support:
provide individual support to diverse students such as assisting with tasks, clarifying instructions, and offering encouragement
Behavioral and Emotional Support:
assist individual students in reducing behavioral outbursts, regulate student emotions, and promote non-violent crisis intervention if necessary
Daily Living Activity Assistance:
help students, as needed, with changing or toileting, navigating hallways, and other related tasks
Administrative Tasks:
handle copying, classroom set-up or breakdown, or organizing files
Who You Are:
Dedicated:
committed to providing superior care to students of all ages and needs
Experienced:
have prior childcare background, preferably with special needs
Patient:
willing to work closely with students to ensure comfort and understanding throughout the school day
What's Offered:
Three days of paid training CPI training for all incoming staff Competitive pay rates
What's Required:
A minimum of a high school diploma Must have or will be willing to obtain NJDOE Fingerprint clearance #HHS23
