The ideal candidate will have the legal right to work in the United States, be already trained through AMI, AMS, or CGMS and already possess a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field for lead teachers; assistants will possess at least an associates degree or be working towards it. They would consider themselves to be a team player with a pleasant personality, highly detail oriented, leads a "clean" life-style, drug-free, enjoys writing, punctual, flexible, and must have a clean driving record. Because the school is a 5-star accredited school with FOCUS, and a New Mexico PreK Site the candidate must be willing to take all required classes or be able show proof they are completed. For the right candidate, we may also be interested in hiring someone as an assistant who would be interested in pursuing Montessori Training to be a Lead, Montessori teacher for our growing school. LEAP is an authentic Montessori School, completing its 13th year. We currently serve children 3 to 14 years old and we are expanding! Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans aligned with Montessori principles, emphasizing literacy, math, and overall childhood development. Create a warm, organized classroom environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and respect among children. Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and individualized support for children. Support toddlers and preschool-aged children through attentive care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional comfort. Create lesson plans based on childrens' observations and from authentic Montessori training. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and developmental milestones. Lead Requirements Must be trained at the level you are applying through AMI, AMS, or CGMS. Must already possess or be willing to obtain the requirements for NM PreK and ECECD FOCUS
accreditation. Strong classroom management experience. Willingness to communicate effectively and professionally The legal right to work in the United States Assistant Requirements Previous knowledge of Montessori methods (or willingness to learn)and curriculum development tailored for young learners. Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management strategies. Experience with special education practices and early intervention techniques is highly desirable. Willingness to assist in maintaining the classroom environment for organization and cleanliness standards. Ability to maintain a safe, nurturing environment that supports child welfare and promotes learning through meaningful work and concentrated activities.
