Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Infant and Toddler Assistant Teacher! In this rewarding role, you will support the development and well-being of infants and toddlers by creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster early learning experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with young children, guiding their exploration and supporting their individual needs through compassionate care and educational activities. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Support daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to promote comfort and security for infants and toddlers. Engage children in meaningful activities that encourage curiosity, language development, motor skills, and social interaction. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards. Observe and document each child's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform individualized support plans. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to early childhood education. Support classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and respectful interactions among children. Skills Strong understanding of early childhood education principles, including childhood development theories and Montessori or similar teaching approaches. Experience working with infants and toddlers in a classroom or childcare setting. Knowledge of behavior management techniques suitable for young children. Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Excellent communication skills to engage children positively and collaborate with families and colleagues. Familiarity with classroom management tools, lesson planning, proofreading educational materials, and tutoring techniques. Passion for mentoring young learners while demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism.
