  • O'Rourke Middle School 2026-2027 School Year The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking dedicated, student-centered Teaching Assistants to support the academic, social, and behavioral needs of students at the Middle School.
Teaching Assistants work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
Positions Available:
1 Teaching Assistant

5 hours/day
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting teachers with instructional activities and classroom management. Providing academic and behavioral support to individual students and small groups. Supporting the implementation of student accommodations and modifications as directed. Assisting with supervision during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, study halls, and other school functions as assigned. Helping maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment. Performing clerical and organizational tasks related to classroom operations. Collaborating effectively with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families when appropriate.
Qualifications:
New York State Teaching Assistant Certification required or eligibility to obtain certification. Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to supporting the diverse needs of all learners.
