Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Lead Teacher with a CDA credential or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. As a Lead Teacher, you will oversee classroom activities, implement developmentally appropriate curricula, and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early learning experiences while working within a supportive team. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards Supervise and guide assistant teachers and caregivers to maintain a cohesive classroom environment Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote social-emotional development Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and other required documentation Create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that supports diverse learning needs, including children with disabilities or special needs Lead classroom activities that support cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and company policies Requirements CDA credential or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific teaching strategies Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead effectively First aid certification preferred; CPR certification is a plus Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play and exploration Prior experience in toddler care, infant care, or preschool environments is desirable Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively and constructively This position offers an enriching environment for professionals committed to early childhood education.
