Lead General Education Teacher for Integrated Preschool Classroom/Assistant Director

Bloom Creative Arts Preschool is seeking a full time Lead Preschool Teacher to work in our integrated preschool program at our KenTon location. At Bloom we celebrate differences and focus on building relationships between children and teachers. The Preschool teacher will be working in an integrated classroom and must exhibit patience and empathy for children who have special needs.

Essential Job Functions:

• The Preschool Lead Teacher will plan and implement creative and exciting daily curriculum reflective of NYS preschool learning standards
• The Preschool Lead Teacher completes observations and assessments as required and maintains a learning portfolio for their students
• The Preschool Lead Teacher maintains cooperative relationships and clear, positive communication with staff, children, families, and support professionals
• The Preschool Lead Teacher provides loving and attentive personal care to children as needed
• The Preschool Lead Teacher ensures safety of children at all times and across all learning environments.
• The Preschool Lead Teacher maintains health and safety practices in accordance with state and local regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates will have at least an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related, or a Preschool CDA, and experience in a preschool setting.
• Qualified candidates will be required to pass all state background checks and provide a medical statement from their health care provider.

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
