In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with individualized instruction, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes growth, literacy, and social-emotional skills. Whether working directly with children or providing essential support behind the scenes, you'll contribute to creating an engaging and inclusive educational experience for students of diverse needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your teaching skills while positively impacting children's futures. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging lessons across subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment and encouraging respectful behavior among students. Work closely with children, including those with disabilities or autism, to promote their social, emotional, and academic development. Provide one-on-one tutoring or mentoring to help students improve literacy skills, math understanding, or behavioral challenges. Help create and adapt instructional materials tailored to individual learning styles and needs. Support classroom organization by proofreading educational resources, preparing supplies, and managing student records. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive educational approach that fosters growth and confidence. Skills Strong background in special education, early childhood education, or childhood development principles. Proven classroom experience working with children of various ages and abilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and team members. Knowledge of behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques. Ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to enhance their academic performance. Familiarity with Montessori or private school teaching methodologies is a plus. Detail-oriented skills such as proofreading educational materials and maintaining accurate student records.
