Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an assistant aide dedicated to supporting a wonderful girl with special needs at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck, in Center Moriches, Long Island. You will work closely with our daughter's regular aide with camp activities, such as swimming, toileting, and other camp activities to ensure a fun, enriching experience tailored to the individual needs of our daughter. Our charming daughter has Rett Syndrome. She uses a wheelchair and wears diapers. She walks with maximal assistance. She cannot feed herself. She loves interaction, music, and water. Our beautiful daughter is 23 years old, 92 lbs, 5 feet tall. We need help at camp from Monday, June 22 to Thursday, June 25 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. We will supply lunch. Being bilingual in Spanish is helpful but not required. Pay rate is $20/hr in cash. Duties Assist in supervising and engaging our daughter with special needs during camp activities, ensuring her safety and well-being at all times. Support her participation in games, arts and crafts, swimming, music, and other camp programs tailored to her abilities. Provide support, including helping with daily routines such as feeding, changing clothes, and personal hygiene / toileting.
