Assistant Teacher Lord of Life Child Development Center - 4.0 Depew, NY Job Details Part-time $16.50 - $17.50 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Student supervision Safety regulations Personal service experience with children Classroom community building Full Job Description Overview Established child care program seeking enthusiastic and flexible candidate to help in our day care center. Includes working with children ages 3 months to 12 years old in varying classrooms. Candidate would be working across classrooms to support lead teachers and other staff in the supervision and care of children in each classroom. Must be available to work a flexible shift ending at 6pm Part time to start, but can lead to full time in September Responsibilities Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management techniques and proactive communication with children Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment by managing materials, supervising activities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols. Engage in ongoing professional development in accordance with
NYS OCFS
regulations, or preschool best practices to enhance teaching effectiveness. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or childcare settings is preferred. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies tailored for young children. Strong communication skills necessary for collaborating with colleagues and families Previous early childhood education experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning and growth are essential.
Pay:
$16.50 - $17.50 per hour
