Job Description
Full-time position (1.0 FTE), 7 .0 hours per day, 10 months per year, school calendar Provide juniors and seniors with rigorous and engaging classroom instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on skills that would prepare students to be college and career ready in the Auto Tech industry Prepare students for the national assessment in ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) student certification in Maintenance and Light Repair Collaborate with counterpart Auto Tech instructors on the direction of the program Monitor students' academic progress including, but not limited to progress/ marking period grades, attendance, hands-on performance skills Implement 504 plans and IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students with diverse learning needs Keep current with changes and developments in the Auto Tech industry Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, home school counselors and all others involved with the education of all students Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites Uphold the BOCES core values: service, collaboration, leadership, and integrity Carry out all other duties as assigned Please complete your file by submitting the following information:

Qualifications:
Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification Preferred Extensive experience with Auto Tech is required Ability to handle heavy lifting Experience, willingness, and ability to work with secondary students in both classroom and various hands-on settings Excellent communication skills and work ethicSALARY:
