STARTING SALARY
2026-2027 Entry Salary (Salary differences based on education and certification) Bachelors or equivalent credits: $32,525 Associates or equivalent credits: $29,568
High School Diploma:
$26,611 Prorated based on the start date
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION
• Candidates must have either a NYS Teaching Assistant certificate or be eligible and willing to apply for certificate. Certified candidates preferred. The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate the Ability to: Build relationships with all students and staff. Collaborate with special education teachers and service providers to meet the needs of students with disabilities in special class settings. Assist in providing necessary support to students to strengthen academic and behavioral skills. Learn how to use and implement instructional resources and behavioral support strategies for students.
