Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their development through engaging activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning. Supervise and engage children in various activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, and educational games. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their development. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning experience for all students. Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their individual needs are met. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to accommodate their requirements. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Familiarity with behavior management strategies and techniques for working with students with disabilities. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create a positive learning environment that encourages exploration and growth. Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is a plus. Classroom management skills are essential for maintaining an organized learning space.
