About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our growing team. This individual will work closely with the Classroom Teacher and multidisciplinary team to support students throughout the school day. What You'll Do Support students throughout the school day in both academic and behavioral programming. Assist the Classroom Teacher with lesson implementation and classroom activities. Reinforce communication, social, academic, and independent living skills. Implement behavior support strategies and individualized behavior plans. Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and daily routines. Collect data and document student progress as directed. Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, community outings, and special activities. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, behavior analysts, and school leadership. Foster a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment. Provide personal care support when necessary. Participate in trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities. What You Bring High School Diploma or GED. Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Human Services, Behavior Analysis, or a related field preferred Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (preferred) Experience in a school, ABA, childcare, or therapeutic setting (preferred) RBT certification or able to acquire RBT certificate within 90 days of hire (required) Why Join Foundry 8:1:3?
