Job Description

York Avenue Day School is seeking a dedicated educator for a part-time afternoon position working with children in an Infant or Ones classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a per diem position, 2:15pm to 6:15pm, Monday through Friday, starting August 31st. Requirements for
Assistant Teacher:
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood (preferred), Associate's Degree, or minimum some college credits Minimum two years of experience in an Early Childhood setting At least 21 years of age
Responsibilities:
  • Work with children in a classroom setting
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with young children
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
