Youth Worker/Program Assistant Hamilton Madison House - 3.1 New York, NY Job Details Seasonal $30 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Summary The NYCHA Summer Youth Worker/Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the Program Coordinator in the overall operation of program components, including delivering services to participants ages 13-21 and assisting with outreach and recruitment efforts. The position is temporary and will run from July 8, 2026 to August 29, 2026. Responsibilities Assist with outreach and engagement activities to promote the NYCHA Summer Program, including marketing and publicity efforts Support the day-to-day operations of summer program activities Assist in supervising youth participants in a structured summer program setting Facilitate workshops and activities assigned under the direction of the Program Coordinator Maintain accurate program documentation, including attendance tracking and participant registration forms Support the coordination and execution of special events in collaboration with program staff Prepare reports and complete required documentation for funding and compliance purposes Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred Experience working with youth ages 13-21 strongly preferred Ability to work effectively in group settings and manage multiple tasks simultaneously required Experience facilitating workshops or group-based activities preferred
Compensation:
$30 per hour
Hours:
Evening and weekend hours. Schedule to be determined (20 hours per week) Hamilton-Madison House is an Equal Opportunity Employer
