In this role, you will support the lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging environment for our children. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children who are 8 weeks to 12 years of age. . Children are provided a quality, developmentally appropriate program based on New York State standards. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and early childhood development activities Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for children Engage with children through interactive activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and independence Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meal times, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being Foster positive communication with children, parents, and colleagues to support a collaborative educational atmosphere Assist in documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records of daily activities and developmental milestones Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and families Ability to work well with young children in daycare or preschool settings, including toddlers and preschoolers At least one year's experience working with children less than 13 years of age.
