Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our team and support the development of infants, toddlers, and pre-school children. In this paid position, you will assist lead teachers in creating a positive classroom atmosphere, implementing educational activities, and fostering social-emotional growth. Your role is vital in helping children explore, learn, and grow in a caring setting. Duties Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities that promote literacy, math, and early childhood development. Assist with classroom management to ensure a safe, organized, and nurturing environment for children. Engage with children through play, tutoring, mentoring, and behavioral management techniques tailored to individual needs. Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene to ensure comfort and well-being. Collaborate with team members to monitor progress of children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism. Maintain clear communication with parents about their child's development and classroom activities. Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently to uphold a secure learning environment. Skills Experience working with young children in classroom or childcare settings. Knowledge of early childhood education principles including Montessori methods and childhood development milestones. Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle behavior management effectively. Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with disabilities or autism. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members. Ability to proofread educational materials and assist in literacy education initiatives.
