We are currently hiring a reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible Assistant Floater Teacher to join our team! As a floater, you will support classrooms with infants, toddlers, 3s, and 4s, stepping in where needed to help provide a safe, clean, and fun learning environment. This is an essential role that helps ensure smooth daily operations across the center.
Responsibilities Include:
Support Head Teachers during daily routines, circle time, and activity transitions Assist in prepping and setting up lesson materials, art projects, and learning centers Participate in lesson planning by contributing creative ideas and feedback Engage with children during structured activities (art, fine motor, science/math, dramatic play, etc.) Assist with diaper changes, toilet training, and hygiene routines Help with meal and snack prep, naptime setup, and supervision Maintain accurate daily records in Brightwheel (attendance, health checks, meals, naps, incidents) Communicate professionally with parents and direct questions to appropriate staff when needed Ensure classrooms and materials are clean and disinfected (tables, toys, highchairs, etc.) Follow posted classroom schedules to maintain consistency across the center Actively supervise children indoors and outdoors—stay moving, alert, and engaged Clean and organize art supplies, refill water jugs, and return unused materials to proper locations Take out trash, reset electronics, and prepare classroom for the next day as needed Most importantly— engage with the children and have fun while helping them learn and grow! Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older Prior daycare or early childhood classroom experience is preferred Must have flexible availability between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM Must be dependable, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to different classroom environments Excellent communication and teamwork skills Passion for working with young children in a structured, yet playful environment Ability to follow health, safety, and cleaning protocols consistently Why Join Us?
