Job Description

Position Summary:
The Teacher Aide supports classroom teachers and students across multiple instructional settings by assisting with instructional activities, student supervision, and daily routines. This position plays a vital role in ensuring students can access learning, participate safely, and experience a positive school environment. Support teachers in the delivery of instruction by assisting students with instructional materials and classroom activities. Provide academic and behavioral support to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, as needed, including during study hall, lunch periods, or other non-instructional times. Deliver direct student support within various educational settings, including classrooms, gymnasium, pool, playground, hallways, and other school environments. Assist students with mobility throughout the school building, including standing, walking, stair navigation, and transitions between locations. Support students with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, feeding, and toileting, in a respectful and confidential manner. Perform additional support services that assist teaching and learning, as assigned and supervised by certified staff. Assist teachers with non-instructional tasks such as grading assignments, recording data, maintaining student files, and preparing reports. Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma Qualifications Desired:
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and procedures.
