After School Teacher/Assistant Teacher

The Trumansburg After School Program is looking for additional staff to help lead developmentally-appropriate activities that encourage healthy physical, social, and emotional growth for students.

Responsibilities:

Work with a team to offer age-appropriate projects and activities Foster an environment of safety, kindness, and respect Help with daily cleaning routines to keep facilities sanitary and safe Help prepare and serve snacks Keep parents and families updated on their students' daily activities Successful candidates must: Be responsible. Parents entrust us with their precious children; keeping them safe and comfortable is our number one task! Be flexible. Although there is a basic structure to our days, we continually modify our program to meet the children's needs. Be patient and kind. We have a wonderful group of children who keep us laughing every day, but of course they are still learning and need guidance. Be able to walk to/from school to pick up children (approximately ½ mile each way) Love children!

Hours:

Our program runs from 2:45 until 5:45 on all school days. Our busiest time is 2:45 - 4:45, so there is some flexibility on ending times for staff. Substitute teachers are also needed.

Salary:

$16.50-$18.00+ per hour, more based on experience
