Overview Teacher Assistants work closely with the Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for a specific group of children. Teacher Assistants support the Teacher in all classroom responsibilities, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in early childhood education. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Teacher to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that inspire curiosity and support each child's development. Assist with learning opportunities that build self-esteem, confidence, and essential social skills. Actively engage with children through play-based learning to encourage exploration, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences. Support developmentally appropriate expectations that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development. Provide supporting observations and assessments of children's progress using the approved assessment tools. Assist with open, professional, and positive communication with all families. Work productively with colleagues and Administration by participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities. Contribute to a positive team culture built on mutual respect and collaboration. Requirements High School diploma (or its equivalent) Credits toward Associates or BA degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) Minimum 1 year experience in the field of Early Childhood Education Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Strong written and verbal communication skills Job Type Full-time / Part-time ```
