Monday - Friday ; 8:00am-2:45pm The Teaching Assistant will work in a classroom setting to provide additional support and assistance to students. The primary responsibilities will be to help the teacher or student with instructional tasks, monitor student progress, and contribute to the overall learning environment. Assist and supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times, including supporting students' use of available instructional resources and materials. Work one-on-one or in small groups with students on tasks, projects or assignments Monitor student progress and provide feedback through the use of the school-wide behavior management system for instructional and non-instructional activities. Help maintain an organized and engaging classroom environment Assist with data collection, record keeping or other tasks related to classroom activities Communicate regularly with the teacher to provide information about students and support behavioral and instructional goals. Collaborate with a team to develop, implement and review support plans for students Maintain confidentiality of student information and records Participate in staff development and training to maintain or develop increased professional knowledge Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications High School Transcript with proof of graduation Certified or certifiable• as a teaching assistant.
