Pre-Kindergarten Assistant Teacher for Two-Year-Old

The Seven Hills School seeks a dynamic, innovative individual committed to teaching the whole child for a classroom assistant position in a preschool classroom. This is an anticipated opening. The candidate should be eager to work in a collaborative, team-based environment with thoughtful, experienced colleagues who are committed to making learning engaging. Assistant teacher assists the primary classroom teacher with activities and learning exercises and daily care of the students, while helping to maintain a friendly, inclusive atmosphere for all students. Depending on the needs and class sizes, assistant teachers may take small groups of students aside for separate activities. If working in a two-year-old classroom, diapering responsibilities are included. This position also includes serving as an assistant in our morning care program as needed. Qualifications All candidates must have:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, preferably in early childhood education Two or more years of experience working with young children Willingness to obtain all certifications required by the State of Ohio Qualities Sought A joyful enthusiasm for working with young children and helping them grow in positive ways Exceptional understanding of the developmental needs of preschool children Experience in collaborating closely with colleagues and with parents Eagerness to immerse oneself fully in the life of the school Understanding of play-based instruction and Reggio practices Flexibility, energy, creativity, high expectations and a sense of humor The Seven Hills School is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to promoting all forms of diversity in the workplace and our student body.
