K-8 Teachers Aide Position- Degree Required

Horizon Science Academy Cleveland Middle School is looking for Building Substitute /Teacher aid candidates for K through 8 Grades. Candidates MUST have a minimum of an Associates Degree in education or a bachelor's degree with experience in the classroom.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Teacher Aide to join our school community and inspire young minds. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages learning, social development, and emotional well-being. You will assist with student and teacher instruction and work collaboratively with parents and staff to support each child's growth.

Responsibilities:

Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Monitor and assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed. Encourage social and emotional growth through positive behavior management. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching strategies.

Requirements:

Minimum of an Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Valid teaching certification for K-3 or state licensure. Proven experience or student teaching in school settings. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
