Full-Time Partnership Schools is accepting applications for full-time teaching assistants across our Cleveland schools. We are looking for individuals who share an unwavering commitment to raising student achievement and an appreciation and respect for Catholic culture, identity, and values. As an Assistant Teacher, you will hit the ground running to support students in the classroom by teaching small groups and facilitating whole-class instruction (under the guidance of the lead teacher) using a rigorous curriculum that inspires intellectual curiosity, reinforces the joy of learning, and enables all students to thrive. Collaboration is key to success in this position: be ready to work closely with other teachers, receive feedback from leaders, and develop meaningful relationships with students and parents. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supporting the lead teacher in developing a positive and structured classroom environment that engages students and motivates them to succeed Assuming responsibility for the academic progress of students with a high sense of urgency and ownership towards quantifiable results Working with students in small groups and one-on-one settings Fulfilling the school's mission to educate the whole child, mind, body, and spirit Taking accountability for student learning and for meeting classroom performance goals Participating in ongoing professional developments sessions to grow as an educator The ideal candidate will have: A deep respect for and commitment to preserving and building upon the legacy of urban Catholic education A sense of joy that contributes to the warmth of an elementary classroom An uncompromising belief that all students can learn A relentless work ethic and a high degree of patience to push through difficult challenges Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers both school-wide and across the network Knowledge of best practices and proven pedagogical techniques in urban education A willingness to be reflective and receive feedback in order to grow as an educator Technological proficiency and adaptability Excellent communication skills Flexibility to multi-task, coupled with the ability to set priorities and follow through with results Relentlessness and willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure success Two years of urban teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement
Position Requirements:
High school degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred At least one year of experience in childcare is preferred. Must pass a background check
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $20,000-$30,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits (medical, dental, vision, and pension plan) through the Diocese of Cleveland.
